Few months back, my friends and I was heading to Ampang to visit our friends who was admitted at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. On the way back, we planned to have our so called hi-tea at Oldtown White Coffee near the hospital, but then Afiq suggested us to try a new brand pizza in Malaysia, Yellow Cab Pizza Co. located around there.

So four of us agreed and we make our way to Yellow Cab Pizza. First thing that cross my mind when I arrived there is what makes Yellow Cab different from the others pizza outlets such as Pizza Hut, Dominos, Shakey’s and etc ? What is the specialty, because the taboo was there is no different in any pizza , they still looks and taste likes pizza minus the secret recipes and ingredients use to make it.

So we went to the counter and make a order. For first timer like us, we have doubt in choosing what the best to fill up our stomach ,then the ladies with the yellow shirt at the counter suggest us some favourite-most ordered pizza.

I let them choose whatever pizza they want, and they choose NY classic-beef pepperoni extra cheese while I hovering around the shop. At the wall, there were histories of birth of Pizza Yellow Cab Co that origin from Philipines if I’m not mistaken.

There are three size of pizza that Yellow Cab Co offer to their customers. 10” / 14” / 18” . If you wonder how the sizes look alike, let’s just imagine the size of rim that we usually use on our car. and we choose the largest size which is 18” !

At first we decided to have it at the restaurant but then we are in rush to the other places, so take away is yet the best option that we have that time- no time for the other food .

Besides pizza, they also served spaghetti and meatballs, pasta and baked potato not to forget homemade vanilla ice cream.

While waiting for the pizza to be done, we tried this kind of drink called Sola Iced Tea Drink-come in two flavours Raspberry and Lemon.Sola is the tasting iced tea that use only the finest natural fruit flavors and real tea. I have Raspberry for my drink.This drink only can be found here at Yellow Cab outlets only , as the pizza its origin from philipines too.

We took a long time to wait for the pizza to be done, about 30 minutes. We get our pizza and we have it in the car. munch munch yummy.

Excited-ness

What a big size ! The sight of 18 inches pizza is enough to satiate my hunger. I was able to consume just two square slices and I feel so full.

Thin crust pizza are alright - toppings are generous, the meaty and luscious crust is so tasty up to the last bite. The only thing that I hate about this food is that is composed of too much oil. I mean, a very too much ! When I hold it even with a tissue, my hands get too greasy. Even my lips do get oily. But other than that, this pizza is heaven’s sent for its enjoyable taste. All the meaty components and seasoning are blended perfectly to achieve a unique taste. The crust is thick and in overall, it is incomparable to neither Pizza Hut nor Shakey’s. The crust is uniquely crispy and chewy because it is created from special dough which is kept fresh. Even the sauce comes from real tomatoes and carefully selected herbs and spices. Their toppings are the special ones, what else would I ask for?

For the price sake, I can say - expensive. For the pizza only, it charges us around RM 60. But after all where else can I have this giant pizza other than Yellow Cab ? But to me, Yellow Cab is not my first choice, Dominos still the best when we want to talk about price and worthy ! I think if it is not about the oily part, Yellow Cab is up to #1.

Penggemar Steamboat

Steam a boat.Eh bukan bukan.Steamboat-macam steam a boat la kan ? a boat of foods, ke ? Tak kesah lahh.Bagi penggemar steamboat, kali ni saya bawak anda pergi makan makan steamboat yang super stimm.

Kalau cakap pasal steamboat, rata rata daripada kita mesti terbayang Johnny's kan ? Ala Johhny's Restaurant yang rata rata pelayannya adalah warga asing (mesti) yang tahu cakap melayu tapi tak faham bahasa melayu.

Okay okay, lupakan pasal Johnnys.

Sekarang kita pergi ke Restoran Stadium Negara, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.Sejarah nama, kalau tak silap restoran ni pernah terletak bersebelahan dengan Stadium Negara dekat Jalan Stadium.

Kebanyakkan pelanggan restoran ni terdiri daripada orang melayu, walaupun restoran ni hak milik orang cina tapi still restoran ni tak da langsung menu yang haramm untuk orang Islam.Selamat dimakann.

Apa nama restoran ni ? Restoran Stadium Negara.Ingat ! Restoran apa ? Restoran Stadium Ne...gara.

Speciality ? Steamboat ! Kita boleh pilih sama ada steamboat yang kita nak steam atau masak tu guna dapur gas atau dapur arang.

Tengok orang gak lah.Kalau tahap kesabaran korang tinggi boleh je mintak dapur arang, tapi kalau dah sampai sampai tu lapar tahap gaban baik mintak dapur gas.

Bezanya ? Satu guna arang satu guna gas.Rasa ? Ada beza ke ? Takde.Rasanya kalau guna dua dua method pun, still sup akan mengelegak-masak gak.

Korang boleh pilih sama ada korang nak sup atau tomyam.Kalau nak dua dua pun boleh.umpphhh bau diaaa ~

Untuk steamboat harganya ialah RM 30-serve untuk dua orang.Side order yang lain ikut korang lah nak pilih apa.Macam saya, saya suka pilih menu-menu kat bawah ni.Kalau korang dah order steamboat, janganlah pulak pesan side order banyak banyak.Steamboat tu sapa pulak yang nak makan nanti.




Kacang Tanah
Kacang tanah ni memang dorang akan kasi sebagai pembuka selera.Betul ke ? Kalau takde kacang, tak berselera ke nanti ? Eh eh bukan, sebagai mengalas perut.Ceh ceh mengalas perut la sangat.

Kalau korang dah lapar sangat, balun je lah kacang ni dengan kawan kawan korang.Tapi kalau tak lapar, sila balun juga sebab kacang ni berharga RM 2.00 so kalau makan ke tak makan still dorang charge gak.


Nasi Goreng Butter
Nice one.Nasi Goreng butter yang sedap dan lazat.Yummy.

First time tengok sotong goreng tepung dorang buat bentuk donut.Hahaha, tapi sotong ni liat sikit.Rasa tepung just nice

Lala masak Pedas (kalau tak silap)
Lala ni memang signature kat sini, so kalau korang nak order tapi tak tahu nama, cakap je lala...Nanti amoi yang amek order tu celah lah cakap korang lala masak pedas.

Yang ni memang favourite saya.Sangat sedap dan lazat.Memang terbaikklah sampai berpeluh peluh makan.Lala segar, kulit lala memang dah terbuka so senang nak amek takyah kopek kopek.Kalau korang tak makan pedas,at least cuba satu korang mesti tersenyum.hee

I called it Pau Lembut ^_^
Tak tau what the real name of the pauu,tapi pau ni sumpahh lembut gileee.Baik punyaa.Kita boleh mintak sama ada nak kukus atau goreng pau neh.Pau ni memang terbaik kalau cicah dengan ketam kat bawah ni =)

Golden Crab
Yang ni paling menarikk.Untuk makluman korang, this is my second visit and first time makan Golden Crab, before this order Golden Shrimp.Sebab udang lagi senang nak handle than ketam kann.Tapi sumpahh kuah dia sedap gileeerrr.

So the main purpose order this is to makan dengan pau kat atas tuhh.Memang terbaikk.Rasanya undescrible, korang kena datang dan cuba baru korang tahuuu!Wonder, how they cook this ? Tapi obviously memang ada telur lah sebab boleh nampak telur putih yang dah dimasak dalam kuah tuhh.

Harga bagi saya agak mahal.Tapi! Untuk side order terutamanya makanan berasaskan Ketam memang mahal.Memang mahal,sangat mahal okay!(Dah tak tau dah nak describe macam mana mahal tu).Selain ketam, kat sini ada sup shark fin,BBQ Chicken Wings dan lain lain.


Dari sini kita boleh nampak view KLCC.

Ada satu menu yang saya lupa nak tangkap gambar ialah BBQ Chicken Wing.Rasa Chicken Wing kat sini memang lain dari yang lain.Tak boleh dapat kat mana-mana, sebab saya rasa memang kat restoran ni je yang buat saya rasa terpukau bila makan chicken wing.



Bagi saya, kalau korang penggemar steamboat sini memang tempat paling tempat untuk korang datang dan menikmati steamboat.

Steamboat kat sini kalau nak dibandingkan dengan tempat lain takde lah jauh beza sangat tapi side order dengan steamboat kat sini memang satu pakej yang melengkapi antara satu sama lain.So, kalau korang datang sini semata-mata nak makan steamboat tak berbaloi sangat.Untuk kepuasan, korang boleh pesan apa sahaja side order yang korang nakk.

Saya rasa kat sini antara salah satu tempat yang mementingkan kualiti masakan.Jadi, setiap apa yang korang order korang memang akan dapat kepuasan yang maksima.

Persekitaran memuaskan dan bersih, layanan memuaskan dan mesra, makanan tip top tapi harganya agak mahall.Tapi untuk sekali seumur hidup, apa salahnya mencuba betul tak ?
